On average, people spend 4 hours a week going through the webinars, quizzes, trying out the tasks on their ultrasound machines and asking/reading questions on the discussion board. Each module is split into bitesize chunks, with webinars lasting 15-20 minutes.  They are easy to watch during a lunch break, with many of the tasks directly benefiting patients you are already seeing.

The course modules are released over a 4-week period, but you will have access to the content for a total of 12 weeks, allowing you to revisit any webinars you need to review or tasks to complete.

An ultrasound machine is required and it is best if you are currently at work or have a dog to practice on as this is a very practical course.

Camilla is available for the course duration and can be contacted via email or by leaving any comments on the course discussion board, which is available for all participants. 

The course modules are accessed via the FOVU platform, and you will receive your personal login details to the course on enrolment. 

In addition to this, you will also receive login details to access IVALA Learn tools that will allow you to view veterinary anatomy in 3D.

At the start of each week, a new module will be released. You will also be sent an email on the Sunday before giving you an outline of that particular week's content. 

IVALA Learn is an online interactive 3D anatomy tool that is used in our veterinary ultrasound courses and membership. It provides a highly engaging and interactive learning experience, with a 3D abdomen, thorax or heart based on a CT scan of a real dog, which you can move and hide or show organs as you wish. We use IVALA Learn for our courses to demonstrate probe position and how probe position affects what we will see on our image. No special equipment is needed - you can use this tool in your web browser, and it is very simple to use.
