What do I think?
The Esaote MyLab Omega is a step up from the Sigma model. It is a portable version of the cart based machine X7. I was blown away by this machine. The Omega has immense image quality.
It has really nice settings, and I feel that Esaote has worked hard to iron out some of the more annoying aspects of the older MyLab machines, such as changing probe and present within a patient profile.
They have also introduced a preset that highlights gastrointestinal tract walls brilliantly and in great detail. The image quality is just outstanding, and it certainly is a step up from the Sigma and X5 models in image quality.
But it is therefore also a step up in price! The value is evident with this machine, however. If you can afford this machine, this is definitely a machine to aspire to.
Summary
In summary,
Pros: Incredible image quality
Cons: Price, but it's still great value
