What do I think?

I recently had the opportunity to trial the Mindray Vetus M11, and came away genuinely impressed — particularly by its cardiac imaging capabilities. Priced at £20K + VAT with one probe, this is not a budget machine, but for what it delivers, especially on echo, it makes a compelling case.

Cardiac Focus

If cardiac imaging is central to your practice, this machine deserves serious consideration. Both the phased array and microconvex probes delivered strong cardiac views, and the colour flow mapping was excellent. This is a machine I would describe as more cardiac-focused than many of its portable competitors — and that is very much meant as a compliment.

Portability and Robustness

Both portability and robustness score 4/5 — solid marks that reflect a well-built machine you can move around with confidence, even if it isn't quite as featherlight as the very smallest laptop systems on the market.

Summary

In summary, the Mindray Vetus M11 is an impressive, cardiac-forward portable ultrasound machine with excellent image quality across both its phased array and microconvex probes. If echo is important to your practice, this machine is well worth a demo.
