Vinno D10 Review
What the manufacturers say:
The D10 truly competes with the best-of-the-best in the small animal echocardiography world, as well as providing stunning detail in its abdominal imaging. This is the ideal machine for those who already have ultrasound experience, and are looking to expand their skills. The D10 is a machine you will not outgrow or be limited by.

What do I think?
This machine delivers a strong all-round performance and feels thoughtfully designed for first-opinion practice. Navigating the interface is mostly very straightforward. The only stumbling block is the depth control - it’s not clearly labelled, which makes it a little frustrating to locate at first. But once you’ve found it, it’s easy to use and you’re unlikely to need to search again. The archive system, in contrast, is a real highlight: clean, fast, and intuitive to navigate.
Image quality is excellent across all probes. The microconvex performs beautifully for abdominal scanning and even holds its own for basic cardiac work - making it a viable single-probe option if budget is tight. Just be aware that the microconvex probe doesn’t offer continuous wave Doppler. The linear probe gives crisp abdominal images (though it’s not a phased linear), and the phased array offers lovely cardiac imaging with high-quality Doppler.
Physically, it feels solid and well made. While not the lightest unit I’ve tested, it’s still portable enough to move between rooms or practices without much effort. One trade-off in the design is that only one probe can be plugged in at a time, and the connectors are large - so you’ll need a bit of space beside the machine to switch them. That said, the design feels secure and robust, with a satisfying click-in that adds to the sense of durability.
And with a price point in the £15-20k range (including a probe), it offers exceptional value - especially given the image quality and breadth of scanning capability on offer.
Summary
In summary, a high-performing machine with excellent image quality, a smooth and intuitive interface, and real versatility across probe types. While switching probes requires a bit of extra space, the secure, robust connections and competitive pricing make it a strong option for first-opinion vets wanting confident scanning without compromise.
